Living at or below poverty creates a strain, not just financial but emotional.

Having to juggle what bills can be paid  late and what needs can be put off is a lifestyle that no one wishes to live.

In Lemont there are two Open Pantries that are available to those who qualify through Lemont Township.

It is not a qualifying level that anyone wants to make, however, any assistance to help meet the basic needs of food, baby items, school supplies,

and personal care items is a extremely appreciated, The level and items available for assistance depends on the

donations that are received.  The non-perishable food, paper products, personal care items and cleaning

products are there because of the generosity of those who can afford to help a struggling neighbor.

"Just One"  is a program encouraging all who can to purchase, at the very minimum,

"Just One" of the item listed for that month.

If you are able to purchase additional items for the pantry shelves know that they are so very needed appreciated!

Food Pantry suggested donations lists are available at the Lemont Township Office or by emailing
